When Dimetoka released in 1916 to the Bulgarians, Meric County was established in the current field with Kavaklı name. In 1919, the district has lost the distinction of being connected to a discrete Uzunköprü district.Kavaklı re-established in 1923 under the name of the village has been the center Buyukdoganca. “Association Arda -2003” is created with the aim to contribute to the preservation and sustainable development of Stambolovo Municipality. It is based in Stambolovo village, Haskovo Province, Bulgaria.
